Thai-Yoga Bodywork

Thai-Yoga Bodywork or Thai Massage is a method of aligning the energies of the body. It is believed to have originated in India over 2,500 years ago. Having made it’s way to Thailand; Buddhist monks as part of their yogic practice adopted it. It is one of the ancient healing arts of Traditional Thai medicine. This massage is performed on a floor mat with both the therapist and the client in loose, comfortable clothing. By incorporating rhythmic motion, compression and gentle stretching, Thai-Yoga Bodywork seeks to bring the body into a deep state of relaxation and balance.

Benefits of Thai Massage include increased flexibility, increased energy, relief of muscle tension and improved lymph and blood circulation.

The treatment has been described as a sort of assisted yoga. The therapist uses their hands, knees, feet and legs to gently ease you into a series of yoga positions. It is great for yoga enthusiasts and anyone who could benefit from being stretched. Sessions last 90 minutes.
